10 Minute Play Festival - March 2022

Truckee Community Theater is the only community theater organization in California at present that does a 10-Minute Play Festival.  We started this endeavor back in 2017 by selecting 10-minute published plays and a variety of directors to put on a "festival".  Now, with the help of writing teacher, Karen Terrey, we partner with her company "Tangled Roots" to help novice and aspiring playwrights to create beautiful 10-minute plays.  

The 2021 festival has been canceled officially. The COVID-19 pandemic has been rough for all theatre organizations. Due to state and local guidelines, we have been unable to hold rehearsals nor would we be allowed to have so many casts rehearsing in one location. We have decided to wait until our state reopens in order to produce a show with the best possible outcome.

We received more than 300 original play submissions in 2020, so we will not be accepting play submissions for our 2022 festival as we have too many right now to choose from.
